Welcome to the 2014 Asian Seed Congress


APSA and the Hong Kong Seed Trade Association welcomes all APSA members to Macao for the Asian Seed Congress 2014.


Macau is a historic city situated on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta. For over 400 years it has been a place where the East meets the West, a gateway into China and an Asian Centre of Commerce and Culture. Today it is the one of the best and most exciting holiday destinations in this part of the world. The old city centre is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


The Asian Seed Congress offers not only the best access to the regional and global seed industry, but also wholesome fun and entertainment for the family.


Macao is easily accessible by air, land and sea. Macau Airport has direct connections to all major cities in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. A high-speed railway links Macau to Guangzhou, China and from the Hong Kong International Airport, it is just a half-hour ferry ride away. Macau is visa free for most countries.


The venue for the Congress will be the Venetian Macao. Situated at the centre of the Cotai Strip which is an integrated city connecting five major hotels, the Venetian, Four Seasons, Conrad, Sheraton and the Holiday Inn, providing 9000 rooms, 120,000 sq m of exhibition and convention space, 274 meeting rooms and ballrooms. There are also over 600 shops, 100 restaurants and lounges, concert halls and theatres offering all kinds of cuisine and leisure options. The Cotai Strip has space for both business and leisure – it's a non-stop carousel of fun and adventure.
